A woman has decided to sell three Taylor Swift concert tickets, which she had bought for her daughter's 13th birthday, in response to Swift's recent endorsement of Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.
In a viral video shared on social media, the woman expressed her frustration with Swift's political stance and what she described as "non-Christian beliefs." She has listed the tickets, intended for Swift's Toronto stop on her Eras tour, for sale. The woman voiced her disappointment with Swift's endorsement and lifestyle choices.
She criticized Swift's quick response to Kamala Harris and Donald Trump’s debate, suggesting that Swift’s statement was pre-written and revealing a closed-minded attitude. “Kamala lied on that stage, and those of us who know, know,” she said.
The unnamed woman also criticized Swift for her perceived disconnect from economic struggles faced by many Americans. "Taylor, you are a billionaire. The rest of us are not; we’re struggling, losing our businesses, and unable to afford homes. If Harris gets into office, our economy is in trouble, but you don’t seem to care because you have all that money and private planes. You don’t live in our world,” she argued.
She voiced her support for former President Donald Trump, whom she believes is "the right guy for the job," and accused Swift of being "out of touch" with everyday Americans' concerns. “If the economy suffers, the whole world suffers, Taylor. And if the world suffers, there goes your job and career because nobody will be able to afford your concerts,” she added.
The tickets were originally bought for Swift's November 15 concert, which was meant to celebrate her daughter, a long-time fan of the singer. However, Swift’s endorsement of Harris following a recent debate led to the change of heart. Swift had announced on Instagram, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.”
